Three Speech for Three Conditions

Living in the world for a believer is facing a long list of different exam that comes from God the Creator, the Most Originator longer omnipotent. Sometimes life tinged with a condition like and sometimes with the grief. A believer never complained even blame God when it is being tested by life’s difficulties. He always tried to remain patient when the examination of grief hit her life. Instead of a believer is not going to forget to be grateful when being tested with the gift of God’s pleasure. So beautiful and the good response of a believer facing a variety of tests so that the Prophet Muhammad’s life shollallahu ‘alaih wa sallam express his amazement.

عجبا لأمر المؤمن إن أمره كله خير وليس

ذاك لأحد إلا للمؤمن إن أصابته سراء شكر فكان

خيرا له وإن أصابته ضراء صبر فكان خيرا له

“It’s amazing the affairs of the faithful! Indeed all good business. And who thus can not be perceived by anyone other than the faithful. If she get happiness, then he is grateful. Thankful it was good for him. And if he is overwritten harm, then he is patient. And patience is good for him. “(Muslim 5318)

Even the Prophet Muhammad shollallahu ‘alaih wa sallam taught us to give an appropriate response for each test condition was come to himself a believer. In the following hadith of the Prophet taught at least three different types of greeting to respond to three types of test conditions confronting a believer in his life in the world.

من أنعم الله عليه بنعمة فليحمد الله ومن استبطأ الرزق

فليستغفر الله ومن حزبه أمر فليقل لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله

“Those blessed with God’s pleasure he should bertahmid (praise) to God, and whoever let him feel slowed beristighfar sustenance to God. Whoever hit adversity in a problem, let say “Laa haula walaa quwwata illaa billaahil’aliyyil’adzhim.” (There is no power and no strength except with the help of Allah the Most High, Most Great) “(Narrated by al-Bayhaqi and Al-Rabii ‘)

First, when faced with conditions of obtaining pleasure. In these circumstances the believer is required to utter praise be to Allah, that is to say Alhamdulillah. Because with him utter a sentence that reaffirms that every gift comes only from God, then he closed the gap all the negatives that could be the devil comes and processed, ie assume that the pleasure he gained was due to her excellence in achievement. Satan really like to tease people by instilling the nature of ‘ujub or proud of themselves when newly achieved a success or enjoyment. Humans made sure of God’s presence which in essence is the true source of the coming pleasure. If God does not allow a pleasure to the person how could that person will never be able to enjoy it?

In fact in the life of the world’s enjoyment of God is always pouring out all His servants. Even the number of favors received by each person is always far exceeds the ability of the person to be grateful. Never mind the ability to be grateful someone exceeds the blessings he received from God, even to the extent compensate alone will never be able. So, my brother, let us lazimkan themselves to utter the phrase frequently tahmid, both when we realize the coming of good or not.

Second, when feeling in a state provision is being slowed. In these circumstances a believer told to seek forgiveness, many say the sentences. Istighfar sentence means the sentence request that God forgives our sins. Prophet Hud beristighfar and ordered his people to ensure that in doing so, then the rain would fall. The term “rain” in the Islamic tradition is often meaningful sustenance. So the relation becomes very clear. People who are slow or sluggish feeling sustenance then he beristighfar, so he was trying to invite rain aka sustenance from God.

ويا قوم استغفروا ربكم ثم توبوا إليه يرسل السماء عليكم مدرارا

“And (Hud said):” O my people, ask forgiveness of your Lord and then repent to Him, surely He torrential rain down upon you. ” (Surah Hud verse 52)

Third, the condition of being hit by trouble in a problem. Faced with such conditions iniNabi shollallahu ‘alaih wa sallam ordered a believer to read the sentence Laa haula walaa quwwata illaa billaahil’aliyyil’adzhim. This sentence is really full of meaning-laden aqidah. Imagine, if translated into this sentence: There is no power and no strength except with the help of Allah the Most High, Most Great. This sentence is again reminding us of the importance of stability Tawhid faith of a believer. Once the believer to read this sentence with the full understanding, appreciation and confidence, then that moment his soul will rise and try to reach that strength and help of Allah is Strong, the Praised. If God has given to the strength and assistance to come to someone, then the problem Which would not be able to overcome?

Therefore, we reiterate once again, Islam is denounced the attitude of dependence on someone to other than Allah when dealing with the problem. Only they can depend on God, place back and place a request for help. Only God where we had resignation. In fact, a believer should not be her resignation to himself.

يا حي, يا قيوم, برحمتك أستغيث, أصلح لي شأني كله,

ولا تكلني إلى نفسي طرفة عين, ولا إلى أحد من الناس

“O Allah the All-Living, O God Who Always take care of, there is no god but You, by Your mercy I’m begging for help, fix the situation myself completely and do not you leave my fate to myself (though) blink of an eye, nor to a human being.” (HR Thabrani 445)
